Free Music Notes for The Crow: City Of Angels - Original Miramax Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: Not nearly as good as the first but it's not without some great tracks... Hit: 3 Stars
Straight to the point. This album is not nearly as good as the first. But Hole, Rob Zombie, Filter, Pj Harvey, Bush (surprisingly amazing with the Joy Division cover... cause apparently this franchise really digs those), and Iggy Pop all have great songs so it certainly isn't a waste of money. But many of the other songs(and artists) have not withstood the test of time. I would say go grab some of the songs off of this, and a couple of the songs of the abysmal follow up (The Crow 3: A Movie No One Has Seen) and call it a day.
Free Music Review: All ... except for one song Hit: 3 Stars
Wow, I can't believe all the heat this cd got by other people because of the inclusion of the "2 rap songs". This cd is all .... except for the absolutely phenomenal track, "Tonite is a Special Nite" by Tricky and Gravediggaz. Truly one of the most innovative and sonically interesting rap tracks of all time. I'm guessin everyone else is a strictly metal fan but I'm saying, listen to that track a few more times before you dismiss it... its genius. Then again anyhting with RZA involved tends to be genius.
Free Music Review: Why does this have to include rap? Hit: 3 Stars
First album was excellent (except for rage against the machine who I dislike). Heavy rock and alternative was all it gave you. Now we have a similar formula with 2 rap tracks added, my god why. Is it politically correct to add rap to a soundtrack where it has no place; if it is to hell with political correctness. Take off the rap and the album get another star.
Free Music Review: OK CD Hit: 3 Stars
I really like Hole : I have the new Hole Cd "Celebrity Skin".But I think HOLE really messed up the Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac song "Gold Dust Woman".I think Fleetwood Mac does it way better. They shouldv'e got Stevie Nicks to sing it for the Soundtrack. But that is not a HOLE song, like some people think. This is an OK CD.] ~Chris~
Free Music Review: Oddballs Hit: 3 Stars
The soundtrack to ''The Crow II:City Of Angels'' is very odd. While the songs are good, most of them don't fit the flick. What I really hated was the fact that there's two rap songs on the CD, and one of them's not in the movie.
