Free Music Review: pretty good CD

I finally got around to buying The Dream's CD. Falsetto, was the song off this CD that helped me gain interest and then seeing The Dream win "Best New Artist" on the BET music awards had me sold. I thought that Falsetto was my favorite, but Purple Kisses and Fast Car are very good songs as well. As a matter of fact, I will go on record and say Purple Kisses would be one of the best songs of the year if The Dream decides to release it as a single. Some people say that his lyrics are corny or on the childish side but Purple Kisses more than makes up for any weak lyrics on this CD. Lines like "Lay on your back, and let your eyes find the stars, you've been my venus, loves your Jupiter and I'm your Mars are as romantic as it gets.
Some say he doesn't have that great of a voice, but how many "great" male R&B singers are out there today? As long as you have a pretty decent voice, a good hook & Beat then it's a hit record. I would say give this CD a try. I would like to give this CD a rating of 3 1/2 but since I like Purple Kisses so much I will go ahead a give it a 4.

My fiance purchased this album for me and I must say it is HOT! So many cd's are disappointing these days, but I was pleasantly surprised by this album.
My favorite songs are definitely Nikki and She Needs My Love. There are a lot of hot beats and cool lyrics throughout the album and I'd definitely recommend it to others.

I really was shocked about how good this CD is. I like all but the last two songs. I listen to it straight through and enjoyed riding in the car to the music. Even better that he wrote and arranged all of the music. Great debut. Can't wait for the sophomore album.
