What an utterly tedious score! Calling it boring is to put it mildly. Easy humor, easy rhymes - very uninspired. I'm all for pastiche but a think hummability should be paramount in that case and "The Drowsy Chaperone" falls horribly flat in that department.Sandy Wilson did the whole 20's satire much better - 5o years ago!Free Music Review: Want Something Fun?
