Why Rick Springfield could'nt find a record label to release this little gem is a mystery to me.
This album is just as good as anything that was released or on the airwaves back in 1977 / 78.
'Looking For The One",,"The Solitary One",,"Still Got The Magic" all could've been singles off this album. "Spanish Eyes" seems to be the original version (music & melody) to 1982's "Don't Talk To Strangers".
I actually prefer Springfield's 1976 release on Chelsea Records, "Wait For Night",which in my opinion is his most mature & strongest album ever (hopefully it will also be out on cd someday)but,if this album had ever came out in 1977 / 78,I would've bought it on the strength of the "Wait For Night" album.

I haven't actually heard this whole album yet, but, I had to write a review because of the song "Bruce" I have been looking for this song for several years because I heard it in the early 1980's on a radio station in Philadelphia that played it. I actually taped the song from the radio station, and I still have it on tape to this very day. The version that was played on the station is not the same version that is on the album, though, it's a bit more rock oriented than this version. I am a big fan of Mr Springfield, having seem him in concert 2 times.Free Music Review: '70s Rick

Fabulous CD. A good example of Rick Springfield's early work, as he intended it. Lots of great harmonies and screamin' guitars. A nice introduction into Rick's '70s work, which is lesser known than his '80s hits. You can see the progression of a wonderful songwriter. Here is your chance to finally own the CD that helped start a great career. The song BRUCE alone is worth owning this CD but there is so much more great material to be heard. The instrumentation may be a little different from the Beatiful Feelings album but you still get the great sound and songs.Free Music Review: Don't judge by it's cover

Clearly, there was some legal precedent for not using a real photo of Rick on this cd. The music inside is decent enough... Must have for Rick fanatics. The rest of the world doesn't really care, I'm fairly certain.
