Free Music Notes for Electric ArgumentsFree Music Review: Definately magic from Sir Paul Hit: 5 Stars
I recommend this as the BEST cd I have purchased this year of 2008! I bought this on the premise of loving the most recent of 2 of his 3 cds cds "Driving Rain", and "Memeory Almost Full". This is different,of course, but none the less exceptional! Blues, Psychodelia, drony, even a touch of his comrade George H.on track 9,"Lifelong Passion". But I must say for me, Track 8,"Dance 'Til We're High" is the EPIDOMY of a Paul track!. Beautiful melody of chord changes, yet still a straight subtle rocker in 4/4 time. At 66, Sir Paul has lost NOTHING musically!!!, and deserves the accolade of: one of, if not 'THE' songwriter in music history! PLEASE!,just >>>Buy it!
Free Music Review: Big MAC Attack Hit: 5 Stars
Awesome music from Paul. The songs are great, the singing fabulous and that bass is so melodic. I've been meaning to pick this CD up for some time being the huge McCartney fan I am and I finally got it. This one surprised me being that every song sounds so inspired. Yes, you can be old, but you can still make great new music. I got the first Fireman CD years ago and I liked the experimental approach. This one is different in the sense that it is much more Beatle-ish in its approach. I agree with the one reviewer who said if the Beatles were still around today, this might be how they would sound. All McCartney and Beatle fans should get this!
Free Music Review: Three for three a hatric of great albums by Paul! Hit: 5 Stars
Who would have thought that this late in his career that Paul could have three of the greatest post-Beatle albums! Chaos and Creation, Memory Almost Full, and now Electric Arguments are all three amazing works, and they are all completely different from each other. In my opinion, this is the greatest three album run in Paul's career. This is Paul's grand experimental album that works on all levels. I wish the sequencing was a little different, but that is easy to fix. Track after track are diverse wonders of sound, and I've never heard Paul play so much wonderful harmonica! You can't miss with this album. Keep 'em comin', Paul!
Free Music Review: Eclectic Arguments Hit: 5 Stars
The great Paul McCartney's latest album is a successful blend of many different elements. Much is reminiscent of the "White Album" and "Band on the Run." There are also a few tracks with an electronica/New Age flavor. I haven't listened to it for several days, but some of the tunes are still bouncing around in my skull, notably "Sing the Changes," and "Don't Stop Running." There's the trademark McCartney playfulness and essential optimism. His vocals have retained an impressive range, as evidenced by "Two Magpies."
The package includes a booklet with McCartney artwork that was (apparently) inspired by the music.
Free Music Review: YES! Hit: 5 Stars
I love Paul McCartney's music, so maybe I'm biased, but this album blew me away. It's incredibly superior to Memory Almost Full and Chaos and Creation. The first time I listened to this album I wasn't sure whether it was one of the greatest albums I'd ever heard, or the worst. So I listened a second time, and then I realized that THIS is great music. It's doing something different, not just making more fun little pop songs (which I love). If you like Helter-Skelter-esque songs, then you'll love this album. I recommend "Highway," "Sing the Changes," and "Dance 'Til We're High," but really the entire album is fantastic.
