The more I listen to it, the more I like it. It's such a fresh sound from a man who's help define what "sound" is, so I don't know what more we could want. "Highway" rocks harder than any of his recent rockers, "Sun is Shining" just melts beautifully. Melodies just burrow themselves inside your brain and you can't help but hum them throughout the day, even if your initial opinion is unfavorable. I wrote it off thinking, "If it doesn't say Paul McCartney on the cover, it must be his lesser stuff." So wrong. Paul McCartney has come out of comfort and created his best solo effort in a totally different sound than he's ever tried. He finally let it loose and it flys. This is his most exciting album ever as a former Beatle. Hat's off to Youth for the production effort...it worked. Just as Chaos Worked in a quiet mode, this goes left turn and away. I love this album. Every song creates it's own mood and they all work. Fresh, non predictable, wonderful.
Track 7 "Sun IS Shining" is just amazing, a masterpiece!

One of Macca's BEST albums..ever, deserves a Grammy nod.Seriously a must have,must buy, must listen too! This album offers so much.. you'll know what I'm talkin about when you buy the album.. the Album is Superb!!!heheh
Macca & Youth knocked it outta the park!!! I bought the deluxe version via the Fireman website and cannot wait for the 7 track CD that includes re-mixes, and different versions of some tracks..Some of these tracks you do not want to end!Love Electric Arguments!!

To those who claimed to be fans and gave this CD one star, I'd like to put in my two cents.
In most parts, the beautiful melodies we usually expect from Paul have been masked in layers and a maze of electronic instrumentation and creative production techniques. The effect is a totally fresh sound that is artistic, mystical and is so much greater than the sum of the parts. What more can you expect from someone who has already done so much for music?

If you think you know Paul, think again. Who knows if John Lennon would even care enough about music to make anything at all, much less something that sounds like a completely fresh start? We owe this man a debt of gratitude once again. He's still excited about music, and he gives you permission to feel excited again, too. Mind blowing, mystical, bizzare,beautiful,cool. India apparently wasn't as lost on Paul as history would paint it to be. I love this music. Give it a chance. Hooray, Paul. Way to go.
