Free Music Notes for Let Love InFree Music Review: Great CD Hit: 5 StarsLots of great songs on this CD. A MUST for any Goo Goo Dolls fan.
Free Music Review: "The moment you decided to let love in..." Hit: 3 StarsLet Love In by The Goo Goo Dolls is an so-so album. Not as good as Dizzy Up the Girl or Gutterflower, but still beautiful and the lyrics are heartfelt. The problem I have with this cd is I wish John Rzeznick sang all the songs, his voice is so much better than Robbie's, oh well. Songs I like on this album include: Stay With You, Better Days, Let Love In, and Give a Litte Bit. The rest is mostly filler but hey this album has a lot of heart so that's a plus.
Free Music Review: The Goos have proved their talent once again! Hit: 5 StarsThis is another amazing album from an extremely talented band! The lyrics and melodies are full of honesty, richness, and emotion. I love this album and I'll continue to admire and respect the Goos for many years to come. They are my number one favorite band of all time, and they have always amazed me with their talent and effort. They have definitely proved that they can always make fantastic music and never let their fans down. The Goo Goo Dolls are the best!
Free Music Review: A little more popular....radio ready Hit: 4 StarsLet Love In, is not my favorite GGD CD. I think it's because not many of the song's stand out as originals or unique for me. This CD seems a bit more, radio play ready, if you will. A little softer, for sure. And sadly, there is no acoustic song on this album like the last few (acoustic #3, Sympathy)- which is what I always look forward to and undoubtedly listen to on repeat.
However, this is still a great CD, with great songs. Just a slightly different more "pop" sound, in my opinion. I do like the majority of the songs on this album, Beautiful is a favorite, as well as Better Days and Stay With You.
Still a huge GGD fan, enjoyed them in concert last month and am looking forward to more treasures from them in the future, but maybe getting a bit back to their more rockin' roots though.
Free Music Review: After a long absence they are back with their most distinct ablum ever. Hit: 5 StarsI've always been a big fan of the Goo Goo Dolls, they have a unique sound and a melancholia about them that makes me love them. After a long time without new work they are back now with an album that reflects the Dolls that I've come to know but this album certainly has a sound of it's own.
Listen to any of the tracks and you won't mistake it for anything that you've heard before but it is still the Dolls; a bit of love, disappointment, and the ever present and prevalent hopeful vibe. They are a little older and a little wiser and I can't help but feel like the events that have unfolded in our society in the past few years have a lot to do with how this album has came out, but maybe that's just me >.<
