I've purchased every album The Hives have done and this might be the best one yet. If you enjoy the Hives you will love this album, hell you'll love it even if you didn't think you liked The Hives.
Thankfully The Hives have enough skill to not stray too far from their original style yet still stay fresh and keep your interest. There is nothing worse than buying album after album from a band to find out that they all sound exactly the same or on the other hand every album sounds like a new band. The Hives are not one of those run of the mill cookie cutter bands. If you haven't bought this buy it now.

The Hives Black and White Album is somehow so new and so true at the same time. Some of the songs like "Giddy Up", "Puppet on a String" and "A Stroll Through Hives Manor Corridors" sound so different from The Hives usual style, style that songs like "Tick Tick Boom", "Bigger Hole to Fill" and "It Won't be Long" embody. If you enjoyed hearing the transition from Veni Vidi Viscious to Tyrannosaurus Hives, chances are you'll enjoy this evolution even more.Free Music Review: If youre ever in need

Every time I put on a Hives album I just want to scream out and start dancing around like an idiot. Theyre music is so explosive, so fun, so great, and it never gets old. They change things up enough on this record from their previous to keep you on your toes, and it sounds less of a retro 60s garage rock band. I love these guys and if I ever need to get pumped up for the day, I throw on the Hives...Free Music Review: YES!!!

The hives have learn how to make give their music variety. This album is a bit different that the usual hives, but nonetheless these tunes are still catchy and great. One of the best albums i have heard. Bought this album when it came out in Nov and i still cant get tired of it. The Hives Black and White Album is their best album yet! It contains killer tracks like "Return the Favour," "You Dress Up For Armageddon," and "Try it Again" just to name a few. Fans of The Hives will not be disappointed by this album. It's raw, full of swagger, and catchy. Great starting point for those who have never heard this great Swedish band!
