Free Music Review: loved it!
Hit: 5 Stars

I typically don't like slow paced, basic music, but I loved this CD. The Hush Sound is themselves, and it's a great thing to be. They have great songs, the kind that make you want to ride a bike through the countryside and love life, even if you have 1/2 a leg and are in a coma. The vocals are beautiful, the stories in the songs are great, and this one will stick with me until i force it upon my children as is customary for parents to do with their music.

Free Music Review: Finally! A Saving Grace!
Hit: 5 Stars

Quite frankly music has gone down over the years. The prevalence of prepackaged bubblegum pop is a travesty to all things musical. Like Vines is like nothing I've ever heard before, and I'd love it just for that.

Although I don't by any means love it just for that.

Greta Salpeter has one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. I dream of being able to sing as well as her. She can be so hauntingly heartfelt (as in The Lighthouse) when she sings, it makes you want to close your eyes and just litsen, really litsen. This is of course not advised when you're driving, trust me.

Beautiful and fresh, Like Vines is a wonderful addition to any collection.

Free Music Review: Poppy Kids from Chicago have a place reserved in my CD player.
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought this CD early last year. And I put it in my player and immidiately from the first note of the album it's special and you can feel that it's different. "We Intertwined" is a hopeless romantics nightmare with fleeting hopes in a seemingly carefree enviroment and that theme is kept through the whole album. With Bob Morris' streamline baritone carving through half the Sound's album I fell in love with the way it sucks you in. And the other half split with Greta Salpeter's innocent and arid yet convicting and enticing voice luring you through some softer moments, this album is a journey with every twist and turn every time you listen to it.

Enough to keep the Fall Out Boy crowd interested (Patrick Stump's vocal appearance on "Don't Wake Me Up" doesn't hurt, or the fact that he was a producer on the album) but still enough to keep the people of the indie Anti-powerpunk scene comfortable.

I can't wait to hear more.

Free Music Review: Awesome variety of sound
Hit: 5 Stars

You will not be disapointed when you hear a male or female and sometimes a duet of vocals with the clash of a piano in the backround of rock and swing that started at a local High School. Launched on a tour with Fall Out Boy, they almost sound similar to This Providence but still maintain their own genre. You will be surprised to notice the variety in every song with orignal style that consistantly causes you to go back an listen to some more. Lyrics are beautifuly creative with the only rock you can actually dance too. All ages - you will like this band. Rock this.

Free Music Review: An album that breaks your heart, and then rebuilds it
Hit: 5 Stars

After listening to the same 4 songs from their myspace page, I was damn eager to get this in the post. Running to the cd player, the cd inhand, I listened from start to finish with a grin. It didn't disappoint.

It moved its way into the car stereo, and the first song is now my favourite by a mile. Watching the sunset over the water on the way home has never stired me up so much than when listening to this CD. It has grown old a little quick, but for "THE" feeling it gives upon first listens, its an automatic 5 star from me.
