Free Music Notes for The Island [Soundtrack]Free Music Review: The Island soundtrack awaits you... Hit: 5 Stars
I got a copy of 'The Island' soundtrack shortly after hearing the tremendous score in the film and loving every second of it. As I expected it was intense!
There is a CD for the TV show '24', from the past three seasons, and the music is composed by Sean Callery. I swear he could have scored this film, but he didn't. I think the music in both 'The Island' film and '24' is similar. However '24' doesn't have vocals like two tracks on this 'The Island' soundtrack does. In this way, it's a little disappointing, (like a holiday can sometimes be) however doesn't ruin the ultimate trip you'd be taking if you purchase this item.
I also wanted to say TV show composer Michael Giacchino (Lost, Alias) is also very clever with his musical choices and a man to watch. As always with score it's always hard to fit everything you'd like to on a CD, but some try harder then others and this guy's music is consistently brilliant. With the CDs above I've mentioned, I hope if you want more music similar in my opinion to 'The Island', you will not be disappointed. None of the soundtracks mentioned here are boring! You wont be snoring to these scores I assure you! There is some definate musical competition alive in the world of TV and film and it's best you discover it now.
I love the soundtrack scores above and if you've heard them you'll know what I mean, so with that said, I hope everyone can keep your composure when listening to 'The Island' film soundtrack.
If you're not convinced already, and know nothing of these other scores, let me tell you what's on offer...
A yellow golden sun soundtrack awaits anyone wishing to hear the
delights of 'The Island'. Scarlett Johansson is on the CD face, but she disappears into the CD slot, when you play it in the car. (Just as she disappeared in 'The Island') and an action-packed shot of Ewan McGregor is left on the inside of the CD in your hands. Keep him safe! Take him to a good home! Recharge your batteries to your disc player. Carry the soundtrack everywhere you go. Put the CD case under your pillow like you'd wait for the tooth fairy, and see if you don't smile when you
find a coin under it! You'll soon feel like a millon dollars
with 'The Island'. Open your piggy bank now, save up if you have to but I beg don't let this opportunity slip out of your hands! Take control of your remote sit back and enjoy everything 'The Island' soundtrack has to offer. You have the power to change the fate of this soundtrack. You'll never have to whisper in Scarlett's ear "I wish I knew you better..." Come on, you know you're tempted! She'll join you on 'The Island' if you're lucky enough to own this soundtrack. Get it before this soundtrack is swollowed up by the sea and is 'Lost' forever...remember "THE ISLAND AWAITS YOU"
The Island [Soundtrack] PosterThe Island [Soundtrack] [Soundtrack] [Audio CD] Steve Jablonsky After supplying something known as "additional music" to many films since the late 1990s, Steve Jablonsky seems to have become the go-to composer for director-producer Michael Bay. Jablonsky's score for Bay's sci-fi thriller The Island shows the influence of its producer, Hans Zimmer. "The Island Awaits You" sets up the mood, which is oddly muted for a movie directed by explosion-master Bay. Even a track titled "Mass Vehicular Carnage" is merely ominously low-key, oddly sounding like something by dank trip-hopper Tricky. Elsewhere, the electronic number "Starkweather" successfully creates a feeling of oppressive tension before integrating elements of the main theme. Unfortunately, in his effort to avoid big ka-booms, Jablonsky can be overly subdued; while nothing is jarring, nothing makes much of an impression either. Actually, there is one jarring thing on this CD, and it's the Prom Kings' nu metal/funk hybrid "Blow," tacked on at the end like an afterthought. --Elisabeth Vincentelli
