Free Music Review: Pop galore

Soundtrack features her edgy, imaginative single "Why Not," alongside it's more upbeat remix (which was played in the movie's closing credits).

Also featured on here are the ballad duet version of "What Dreams Are Made Of" and a solo dance version of it (Hilary listed as Isabella and Lizzie McGuire for those tracks, respectively). There's also an orchestral version of "What Dreams Are Made Of" on this soundtrack which does not feature Miss Duff's brilliant vocal work.

In addition to those tracks, one of A-list pop megagroup Atomic Kitten's biggest hits from the UK (The Tide Is High, which peaked at #2 and selling VERY consistantly as a single there) that Hilary lip syncs and sings along with in the beginning of the Lizzie McGuire Movie is included.

Unfortunately, not all that is Duff-related is great. Haylie Duff, Hilary's older sister, just proves that. Her self-written track is absolutely horrid. It's clear that she aimed at rhyming, but failed miserably. The song makes zero sense & she has no control of her voice.

But outside of this (major) flaw, there's tons that almost match the sparkle of the great Hilary.

Taylor Dayne's cover of RuPaul's worldwide hit, "Supermodel of the World," proves to be amazing, capturing a new Turbo Pink Barbie feel for the song.

LMNT's "(Open Your Heart) To Love" proves to be possibly one of the greatest boy band ballads of all time. This is the amazing song played during the fire work scene in the movie.

The Cooler Kids' #1 Club Dance Play hit from the end of 2002, "All Around The World" - which was also recently played on the new show O.C, is featured in a Disney remix version. This isn't noted, but since I own their album, it's pretty clear. I would highly prefer this version to the album version. Several words are changed to be more appropriate, but when you listen to the original words on the album version, they just don't fit anyway! The Disney version's ending choruses are also better, and they have a more runway feel.

I give the album 5 stars!
