If you're a die-hard fan of LOTR, thought that The Return of the King was the best movie you've ever seen, and that the music within the movie gave you tears... then you should probably invest in this package. However! if you don't care much for the little bits of music thrown into the movie here and there, then just stick with the plain Return of the King soundtrack.

Free Music Review: The best ever........with one exception

The exception would be "The Complete Recordings of Lawrence of Arabia"......the recordings that are available only offer snippets of this masterpiece of cinematic music.
Since that won't happen, LOTR Return of the King steals the honors. The whole 3rd disc is stupendous, and is faithful to that which made it to the theaters, not like The Two Towers, where there were some disconnects.

I was really surprised when Amazon discontinued to sell real disc package. The problem is that I could not find it anywhere else on the internet and at the local stores. Finally I decided to check if the main distributor - warnerbros has it. Fortunately I was right! They have it at their online store and they have it even on s a l e ! I purchase the three complete recordings of Howard Shore's TLOTR trilogy, and all i can say is that the top of my movie music collection. Esplendid masterpieces that have received a well deserved de luxe treatment editions. I wish that the John Williams's STAR WARS scores received the same type of editions, but i'm afraid that will not happen, at least soon enough.Free Music Review: It was worth it!

Initially thought it was all over when this product was listed as unavailable everywhere..Luckily i straight away jumped at the chance when it was available for a limited time...boy it was all worth it!! It has all the cues i wanted to listen but was not included in the ordinary soundtrack...A great soundtrack box set that i will never let it go! =)
