First of all I must say that "The Mask of Zorro" is the second best movie I have ever seen in my entire life! I loved it! My friends and I have already seen it three times and hope to go back for a forth. I just couldn't resist getting the soundtrack. When I bought it, the first thing I listened to was "The Fencing Lesson". That was one of my favorite scenes. Ever since then the only CD I ever listen to is "Zorro". It is fun and exciting, but still sweet and romantic. I never really payed the character, "Zorro" much attention until I saw the movie. It completely changed my mind. I was just a little disappointed that it didn't have the "Tango" music on it. I recomend that you see the movie and buy the soundtrack. This soundtrack is so cool! I play it every day in band because our competition show is the soundtrack to "The Mask of Zorro" It is a powerful soundtrack and it sounds pretty good. Let me rephrase that-it sounds really good!! I also love "I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You." The songs are not boring like some people have said. It is moving and fast sometimes. Sure, there are slow songs, but they really move you. We did not get the movie right when it came out but when we heard that our competition show was going to be "The Mask of Zorro," we got it. I love this soundtrack and if you are still thinking on buying it, you should. It is the coolest soundtrack ever-as good as Star Wars. Well, I bought this CD because my son, Neil Harrison, loves Marc Anthony & Tina Arena's song "I want to spend my lifetime loving you", which is played at the end of the movie. He heard the song for the first time when he was around two months old, and I noticed he loved it, so I played the end of the movie over and over and over until he went to sleep. I figured it was easier to buy the CD and play it for him at bedtime, so that's what we did, I sing it to him along with the CD and he goes to sleep peacefully. I think that if my baby liked it, it has to get a great review! I loved all the other songs too, it's a great CD.Free Music Review: This score will spice up everyone's latin soul

Mask of Zorro was a magnificent film and who better to do the score, than James Horner! He has taken hinself to a new hight. I think this score was just inspiring!! "I Want to Spend my Lifetime Loving You" (was beyond) words so much greater and more moving than "my heart will go on" !!!!! this song deserved the acadamy this year for song. The score was fast, moving, and deep all at the same time it also deserved a nomination from the acadamy this year. It had it the depeth and romance. If you liked this score you should buy the score to Mighty Joe Young by James Horner!!Free Music Review: Wonderful Spanish music, almost too good for a soundtrack!

James Horner certainly has a wonderful grasp of Spanish music! I am always astonished at how melodic and thematic his soundtracks are. The soundtrack of "The Mask of Zorro" recalls the concert work of Juaquin Rodrigo (Concierto d'Aranjuez, Concierto para un Gentilhombre, Concierto para una Fiesta) or the Concierto de Malaga, with its Flamenco elements. It's almost too good to use as a soundtrack! Personally, though, I would have exchanged the 13-minute piece "Leave No Witnesses..." for the dance music at Montero's ball, which I found to be very moving. Too bad it's missing.
