The Mask of Zorro is a classic adventure with a sweeping musical score riding along at its side. The music is incredible: painting a canvas of heroism and adventure. The track that really stands out (even though there are many) is #8. Zorro's Theme. It encompases the entire feeling of the movie and I definitely recommend it.Finally, the wonderful soundtrack ends with "I Want to Spend my LIfetime Loving You". If I ever get married, this will be the song I dance to.
I couldn't describe the album's beauty to you, but can only encourage you to go buy it. It's worth it.

This soundtrack is excellant and deserves much more than five stars. The music conveys the intense, high-wrought emotion that the movie does. "I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You" has touched my heart and without a doubt, I want it sung at my wedding. My other favorite is "Deigo's Goodbye". I was disapointed at the fact that the song that Elena and Zorro danced to was not included on the CD. But, other than that, I adored the CD. I absolutely loved The Mask of Zorro! I bought it as soon as it came to home video. However, I waited longer on buying the soundtrack. I think the music in the movie is amazing. James Horner did an excellent job, and also with the love theme. The only problem is the vocals in "I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You". I thought Marc Antony and Tina Arena were good, but he could have picked some better people. Like, maybe, Shania Twain? The Mask of Zorro adds another great selection to my James Horner collection of soundtracks. This work captures elements from Braveheart, Willow, Apollo 13, and even touches of Titanic. Plus the underlying theme of "I want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You" is ever present, giving a nice flow and consistency throughout the work. My daughter particularly likes the brilliant use of the dance rhythms throughout, which gives the soundtrack a strong Spanish/Latin flair. From the very begining of this album, to the last note, listeners will cry out for more. James Horner does it again, creating a majestic, amazing score very fitting to the advenerous style. Recorded in Spain, the CD is composed with traditional ethnic instuments, and excellent voices. The love theme "I Want To Spend the Rest of My Life Loving You" is in every way breathtaking. This is without a doubt the next Oscar contender soundtrack, and a must have for anyone alive!
