Free Music Notes for The Matrix: Music From The Motion Picture

Free Music Review: awesome cd
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought this cd when it first came out, 2(?) years ago - months before I ever saw the movie. At first, I listened more to the "single"-ish songs.. Du Hast, the MM one, Rob Zombie, Deftones. but this album has continued to grow on me so I keep going back to it & listening. All of the songs are great, but the greatest part is the way all of them work together & get up this mood. There is no cd yet that that i can pop after this cd & can keep up the feeling the Matrix creates, it's just that driving but still somehow laid back (w/ all the loops) feeling that is so great. my favorite tracks.. (they're all great) but probably Rob D - Clubbed to Death... it's such a cool mix of this classical melody put to techno.. and Deftones - My Own Summer... driving, but just the perfect mix, awesome song... but my favorites beyond that change all the time, it's all so good. these are all the best rock-techno, and it makes you feel so "on the edge" - totally goes with the movie. buy the cd, it's worth it!

Free Music Review: A perfect compliment...
Hit: 5 Stars

Coupling angry rock anthems and brutal techno melodies, `The Matrix Soundtrack' is one of the greatest compilation discs around. With great tracks by rock gods The Deftones (My Own Summer being one of the greatest rock songs ever), the devil himself Marilyn Manson (Rock is Dead is a brutal way to open this soundtrack) and German masochists Rammstein (Du Hast will never get old), this soundtrack is sure to please just about every fan of heavy rock. Rob Zombie gives us a great remix to a great song, Prodigy always pleases and Lunatic Calm gives us `Leave You Far Behind', which is like the essential action movie song. The greatest track here though has to be Rob. D's `Clubbed to Death' which is just fantastic, and who can forget the feeling they felt when Rage came on the stereo as the credits for this fantastic film began to roll (Wake Up is a great way to close the soundtrack as well as the movie). This is an impressive album that is sure to satisfy you hunger for good music!

Free Music Review: The Greatest Soundtrack Ever? Yes!
Hit: 5 Stars

To start off, I'll simply say this: This is an awesome CD. Get it. Now for a more detailed review.

First, just take a look at the list of artists on the CD. Although I bought this CD because I loved the movie and it features Marilyn Manson's latest "Rock is Dead" single, other artists, such as Rage Against the Machine, Prodigy, and Propellerheads, provide more reasons to get this CD.

Secondly, this album is a great collection of fast-moving, adrenaline-pumping songs. Listening to "Rock is Dead" makes me want to go out and trash something, while Rammstein has me screaming "Du hast!!" to anyone in sight.

Finally, the songs on this CD allow me to remember some of the best moments of the movie. Listening to Propellerheads' "Spybreak!" lets me remember the whole large gunfight scene in my head.

All in all, a great CD, and I'd hearily reccomend it to anybody.

Free Music Review: This mix of techno+ rock is great to listen straight through
Hit: 5 Stars

After watching the movie and having been blown away by the great special effects and perfectly- integrated music, I bought the CD the very next day and have been listening to it practically every day since-- that's about three months. I like every track on the CD except the Rammstein one (Du Hast) and like to just listen straight through the CD.

This CD is probably best for enthusiasts of techno and hard rock. One thing that's good about this CD is that while it has some mood-specific songs (like "Wake Up" by RAtM)there are songs that you can listen to while doing other things like reading, talking, doing homework, etc.

The main reason you might not want to get this CD is that if you have an extensive collection, you may have many of these songs. But this CD is a rather good mix, which might still make this purchase worthwhile for you.

Free Music Review: 5 stars because of the movie or the music...
Hit: 5 Stars

I've never been a big fan of movie soundtracks because they usually have nothing to do w/ the actual movie (ie. music inspired from). Yet the tracks selected for this movie are as an intrgral element as the FX. They both enhance each other, as well as creating a aural and visual stylization that are one in the same. When you hear the Propellerheads track you can visualize Trinity running up the wall (oooooh...), and Neo running through a hail of bullets and concrete. Perfectly selected

soundtrack throughout; I even liked the Rob Zombie song as well...who would've thought. I've seen this beast 5 times, and it kept getting better! Nothing has affected me like this in a long time. It's hard to imagine this film w/ other songs on it. Definately check out the Propellerheads CD, it's worth it if you like electronica. Dodge this!
