Free Music Notes for The Matrix: Music From The Motion PictureFree Music Review: Perfect mixture Hit: 5 Stars
What do you get when you compile songs from some of the coolest techno/electronica artists and great hard rock artists on one CD?? The Matrix Soundtrack! Not only did this CD open my eyes to the world of electronica (it intoduced me to Rob Dougan, the Propellerheads, The Prodigy, Meat Beat Manifesto, and Lunatic Calm) and also gave me a good taste of the world of (cool) hard rock (Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Rammstein, and the Deftones). I can almost listen to this album from beginning to end and have a smile on my face, with an exception to "Bad Blood" by Ministry, which I don't favor. But other than that, this is a perfect album, and I'm glad I was able to get it. Also: Rob D's (Rob Dougan) song, "Clubbed to Death (Kurayamino mix)" is one of my favorite songs of all time.
Free Music Review: This CD has the perfect blend of songs. Hit: 5 Stars
Even though I'm not a huge fan of Marilyn Manson or Rob Zombie, I can't help but listen to "Rock Is Dead" & "Dragula" over and over again. They're both great techno-metal, a sort of cross between Metallica and Depeche Mode, if you will. Rammstein's "Du Hast" is just as good, even though the song is completely in German; the music takes hold of you and you can't help but move to it. The instrumentals are something special, as well; they give the movie it's futuristic feel. I truly enjoy this CD (profanity and all,) and I look foreward to buying the score to "The Matrix," as well, because the music was truly beautiful (just like the film's star, Keanu Reeves!) Sorry...I just had to say it.
Free Music Review: A aural bag of mind candy on a saturday night ! Hit: 5 Stars
I really enjoyed the ride. Fortunate enough to see it at Manns Chinese in Hollywood made it an event as well. This is the type of soundtrack that film makers lust after, sleek weapons, black leather, martial arts and a sound that inspires you to see it put in cinematic motion. To all the fans that saw this and connected, I am shooting a short film about a group of dead special operations soldiers returned to commit angelic revenge. Looking for this type of sound for "Angels Blood". Something fast, pumping with a complicated techno beat would be perfect. If it has any angelic background noise thats a plus. Help me with my score I will get you a copy of the completed product. We need more like the Matrix. Start here!
Free Music Review: Fantastic, heart-pounding, excilarating, mind-blowing Hit: 5 Stars
Having been lucky enough to see the film as a screening in the UK, it's not out here until June, I had to get hold of the CD with desperation. I have never gone to the trouble of ordering a CD before it comes out in the UK and to say it was worth it would be an understatement. What a fantastic mixture of music that had me dancing around my flat with endless energy. I take it to the gym as well as it motivates me to work harder. If you like your music heavy don't miss this CD.Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! It's coming to Ibiza with me. Ps Can't wait for the film to come out here so I can go and see it again and again and again and....
Free Music Review: Great collection Hit: 5 Stars
The Matrix is one of my all-time favorite movies. Everything about the film was perfectly done, including the music. Music is very important to the mood of any movie (look what the moody score did for Titanic - I didn't like the film but the music was hypnotic - not counting Celine Dion's over-played single) and the songs selected for The Matrix made the film even more enjoyable. The CD is great for those like me who won't necessarily buy a Marilyn Manson CD, but who enjoy mixes of interesting and not radio-played singles. (Is there a decent radio station in Los Angeles? I think not! What's up with that? Oh well, I digress.) Get this CD.
