Free Music Notes for The Mission: Original Soundtrack From The Motion PictureFree Music Review: Ennio Morricone's Score for The Mission Hit: 5 Stars
Morricone's scoring of "The Mission" is truly unforgettable. Gabriel's Oboe is one of the most hauntingly beautiful pieces of music I have ever heard. When I first saw the movie many years ago now, I assumed it was a classical piece and have searched in vain for the composer. Imagine my amazement when I stumbled upon it one evening surfing the net. This CD is now one of the staples in my car.

This CD is without a doubt the most beautiful I have ever heard. I am a movie buff, but I have never heard a soundtrack that just got down into my bones. Gabriel's Oboe has a spiritual quality that can change your mood and the atmosphere of a room. It is wonderful. It is beautiful. It makes you think and ponder the deep recesses of your own heart. I never tire of listening to it.

This soundtrack was given to me as a gift. I had never seen the movie previously but when i started playing it the music just flowed around me and i honestly started tearing! No music has ever touched me like this has. It is so dear to my heart that i actually used Gabriel's Oboe for my processional when i got married. I highly recommend this music to anyone. Free Music Review: Never bought a soundtrack CD before, but -WOW!!! Hit: 5 Stars
A person I respect recommended this CD, ecstatically and emphatically. I felt there had to be some hype involved, as I couldn't imagine a piece of movie music really being 'all that'.
This soundtrack is incredible -it is unbelievable- it stirs the deepest parts of the soul with complex emotions at a depth that is... well... transformative. Listen and be CHANGED!
