I've never had any formal training in classical music, but I do know what I like ... and this is one of the best compilations I've come across for quiet, relaxing music. Perfect for background music while you're working. Free Music Review: My only beef....

OK, did the album live up to my expectations, after reading some of the reviews here?
Yes, but with one exception: I'm not a big fan of having vocals along with the classical music I listen to. I find it distracting, as I tend to play classical music on my days off... as relaxing background music.
(However, contrary to what some purists here have suggested, that DOESN'T mean I don't actively listen to the music some of the time. I DO have my favorites!)
So my one "beef" with this album is there are several tracks where somebody's singing. Both my wife and I found that to be very distracting.
Other than that, this is a nice, surprisingly long album to add to your playlist.

I purchased this and the next set for my 2 year old to sleep to.
I haven't opened the second volume yet but this 2 disc set has been excellent.
