I don't have to tell you how great this score is. Just read the reviews. It feels like an big emty nothing now that mr Goldsmith has passed away... Just think of how many excellent scores the world will be missing in the future now that he's gone.
Another thing. Put this score in your cd-player, jump to number 7, turn the volume up and imagine yourself listening to it in a concert hall while Jerry conducts. I'm getting goose bumps just thinking of it.

This soundtrack was incredible! One of the best that he's released so far for an action film, Goldsmith has outdone himself after several mediocre performances that finally ended after the rather pleasant surprise of Star Trek IX. The Mummy uses well known themes and rousing marches to carry the mystery and splendor of Egypt as well as harness the power and unimagineable horror of a raised spectre from the past. Jerry Goldsmith has created a soundtrack I think will last for a long time. It is action packed, it has romance in its notes, and it also has humor. Those three elements are difficult to include all at once, but Goldsmith does without hesitation and it works powerfully. All the tracks can be listened over and over again, with no boredom, and they still hold up apart from the movie! AN excellent score!Free Music Review: Overall this years most greatest Soundtrack!

I loved this soundtrack and I love the way Jerry Goldsmith mixes all the aspects of Middle Eastern music with a bit of classical from here. Totally one of the coolest albums I've ever heard! My favorite songs on it are Imhotep and The Caravan actually I like all! It's so good! So if you're into exotic and adventurous music buy this CD and while you're at it buy the movie too!Free Music Review: What other score could capture a tale this wonderous?

The enchanting and powerful music written to accompany the film THE MUMMY is truely wonderous. Goldsmith captures the power and grandeur of this adventurous Egyptian tale with such beauty that it is hard to listen to it and not picture the georgeous scenery of Egypt. Moving, exciting, and enchanting, this soundtrack does justice to the characters and actions of the film.
