Free Music Review: Wonderful Soundtrack

While you're listening to this soundtrack, you can see and feel every moment of the movie taking place without even watching it. Some of it is sad, and some, uplifting. All of the while, it's magical and exciting. I could listen to it over and over and always find that it pulled me into the spirit of the movie. Of course, I always had an obsession for this movie, so it may not be that way for everyone, but I really do think that scenes from the movie would come alive for anyone who listens to the music.

I can listen to "Swamps of Sadness" and see Atreyu struggling and crawling through the swamp and reaching out for the luckdragon who comes down out of the red clouds while the Gmork is close behind, closing in on Atreyu. I listen to "Atreju's Quest" and see him riding along the horizon and I get the same intense, excited, nervous feeling I got when I first watched it.

The same can be said for hearing "Fantasia", although it's altogether a different tone--it's very somber and serious, but it fills me with similar emotions and I feel the same uncertainty and apprehension about what is ahead while I listen to "Fantasia" as I feel from "Atreju's Quest", even though I already know what's to come. I can clearly see it before me, the moment when Cairon solemnly presents Atreyu with the menacing quest ahead of him. It's all so vivid and alive for me.

I think anyone who knows and loves the movie would feel the same. Even if you don't know the movie particularly well, the music is original and exciting and touching. I'd recommend it to anyone.
