The Fantasticks has been one of my favorite plays ever since seeing it at the Sullivan Theater in the late 70's. After enjoying the current off-broadway production with Burke Moses, I bought the cd with some trepidation (how could it match the original?) This new cd is amazing! Clear, enthusiastic vocals from all. Crisp and energetic piano and harp accompaniment throughout. With dialogue to pull it all together! You will feel like you're in the audience every time you listen. However, a trip to NYC to see it again would be nice, too.
