I love the really really old songs they used for this movie. "I'll Be Seeing You" by Billie Holiday has always been one of my favourite.
It's a shame they left out the song Allie plays on the piano. Someone was asking about it here; this is how it appears on the credits:
"Prelude for Piano, Op. 28, No. 4"

FYI: The sheet music to The Notebook Main Title just became available this week at Musicnotes (www.musicnotes.com). Just go to their main page and do a search on Aaron Zigman. It looks like the song is in C Major and easy to play. It's for piano, but I'm sure it could be adapted to string instruments. I know this is a place to review the album's content, but since so many people were asking about the sheetmusic, I thought I would post this.Free Music Review: Love It!

I saw the sneak preview of The Notebook and absolutely loved the movie and the music because they complimented each other so well! Everytime I listen to this soundtrack (especially the main title song they play at the intro and the overture) it makes me want to go out and see the movie again. These songs work so well at inspiring emotion and if you love the movie like I do, you will definitely want to have this cd.Free Music Review: Naomi

I loved this movie. I even bought myself a dvd player so i can watch this movie in better screen and see all the deleted scences. I was reviewin other pp comments and noticed the common question about the song in the trailer. this is a great soundtrack. i really think it is. i hardly like any type of of movie soundtracks is even considerable. but this one is amazing. if you saw the movie you can feel the emotion within it. and even if you didnt see it, you will be able to pick up where noah and allies happy and sad moments. the composer does a great job and this soundtrack should be listened to by all.
