Free Music Notes for The Phantom of the Opera (2004 Movie Soundtrack)

Free Music Review: Enjoyable and 5 Stars

I've never seen the Broadway Production of this show and as of yet haven't seen the moveie, but believe me I'm going to see this movie as soon as I can. After listening to Learning to be Lonely I was in tears, I really felt for Erik the Phantom, and the girl who did Christine .Her voice was absolutely fantastic, she added a light, but very distinctive accent that I really enjoyed. Gerard might have a different technique than Michael Crawford but this a movie people it's going to be different sounding than the Broadway Musical. I have listened to both versions and enjoy both of them for there different sound and technique, and in way I'm glad for it Sara and Michael to me would be too old to really play the movie well, I think that it needed young blood and it got it. I can't wait to see this movie and I will definately be buy it in DVD when it comes out.

Free Music Review: The Best Movie and the best Musical
Hit: 5 Stars

The Phantom music has enchanted people like Leonardo Da Vinci's painting Mona Lisa. I have been in the museum in Paris and watched people standing for hours and stearing at Mona Lisa's fase.

There is something about the music that makes people want to listen to it over and over again. And so are the stageplay and the movie. It was in my head for months when I heard the score for the first time. I met people who have seen Phantom on stage more than dozen times. I read reviews that people watched the movie 4 or 5 times since the movie started a week ago. It is true that the original score has better voices, but after seing the movie I stoped comparing them, because they are different.

I would like to ask people, who gave it one star, which musical had as much power as the Phantom.
And the answer will be...

Free Music Review: Beautiful music!
Hit: 5 Stars

I saw the film version of "Phantom" mostly out of curiosity. I was worried I would be bored and that I would have a hard time following the story since it's told mostly in music. Boy, was I wrong! I didn't expect the songs to be as "catchy" as they are. I can't stop singing them. I've never seen the Broadway version, so I don't have anything to compare this to, but that's probably good. It makes my opinion more objective. And I like the Phantom's singing voice. Some people don't think he lives up to Michael Crawford, but, as I said, I've never heard his version. I normally listen to alternative, pop or country music, so I never expected to love this music so much. I bought the album the day after seeing the movie. My only regret is I bought the regular album and not the expanded one with more songs. Highly recommended.

Free Music Review: Great soundtrack for a great movie!
Hit: 5 Stars

It's been a long time since a movie has compelled me to watch it more than once, but I find myself wanting to watch Phantom of the Opera repeatedly. I've always liked the play, but I absolutely loved the movie version, especially the songs as performed by Gerard Butler, Emmy Rossem, and Patrick Wilson. I've always found the Michael Crawford/Sarah Brightman version to be a little too intensely operatic for my taste, but the songs were performed with much more simplicity in the movie, which I really liked. This CD gives you just the main songs with vocals, perfect if you just want to hear their remarkable singing, but don't want to listen to the 2 disc set that you can also buy. Although truth be told, I could do without Prima Donna, I've never liked that song. But oh well, that's what the skip button is for.

Free Music Review: my all time favorite
Hit: 5 Stars

Ever since i was eight years old, me and my grandma would go for a ride in the car and we would listen to the Phantom of the Opera, The first time i heard the orchestra playing in the opening act i was instantly hooked, that song literally made my little neck hair stand on end, it was soooo awsome, when i was about twelve my grand ma gave me the cassette we enjoyed so much, I was so happy, up untill about 1 year ago when my little brothers decided to unraval the cassette and snap the tape in three places, i was absolutly heartbroken, then as a gift from my grandma, we went to see the phantom of the opera on the big screen. That was awsome!!! since then ihave listened to 8 variations of the play, this one beats everything easily.
Currently i am 16 and i love the Phantom! (not in a gay way though.)
