Free Music Notes for The PoliceFree Music Review: The Police Anthology Hit: 5 Stars
After numerous single disc compilations and and glorious 4 disc complete recording collection, this 2 disc set tries to bridge the difference. It includes their first non-album single "Fallout" and goes all the way through with the non-album final track, Murder By Numbers. All the other essentials are here from all the albums that you would expect on a greatest hits album along with tracks loved by rock radio like Driven To Tears. If there's a few minor quibbles, I'd question if the set is going to include rather minor tracks like Voices Inside My Head or Rehumanize Yourself if it wouldn't be better served by other songs. Aside from that, these are the essential tracks from one of the greatest bands of the New Wave era.
Free Music Review: Must have Police Set Hit: 5 Stars
back in the day I was a Big time Fan of the Police. I always dug there Jams and Grooves. "Every little thing she does is magic", Canary in a Coalmine" was my jam back in the day. Spirits in the Material world, Every Breath you take,Roxanne,etc.... are all here. the Grooves and Versatility Highlighted by the songwriting of Sting and the chemistry of the Musicianship truly made for some tight Jams. the Police in some ways were the link between the Clash,U2 ,Red Hot chilli Pepers and No Doubt on some levels. they Bridged quite a few themes and styles that worked. this is the best overall set that best Highlights there Greatest Hits.

Someone took utmost care in selecting these songs. Buy this anthology and obtain an awesome sample of the most melodic, exhilarating, and technically expert music ever performed. It's a good way to get all of the Police's greatest hits without buying all of their individual releases. You still end up with a fabulous collection of fantastic music that blows you away. And if you're interested in the truth (not rumors) about the human beings behind this soulful music, Stewart Copeland's home movie "Everyone Stares: The Police Inside Out" reveals the lives, relationships, and emotions that inspired their accomplishments.
Free Music Review: Donate your old greatest hits to the needy. This is the one to own! Hit: 5 Stars
Holy Cow! 28 cuts and everyone a keeper from one of the most creative and imaginative groups in rock history. The Police's rhythmic interplay between just three guys is the standard to be measured by. Stewart Copeland's drumming is so rhythmic, it sound like he's got three rhythms going on at one time. He is truly one of the greatest drummers in rock history. Sting is also one of the all-time great singers. This CD features more early cuts, and they all rock, plus all the big hits you've come to know and love. This is the definitive CD to own. Case closed!
Free Music Review: Best collection of the Police without being arrested! Hit: 5 Stars
Now I know alot of Police fans wish that "When The World Is Running Down, You Make The Best Of What's Still Around" was on the 2CD set but with the long title, maybe it just wouldnt fit. Anyway, this is a good compilation of songs and a must for any younger generation that wants to get a taste of one of the best rock bands to come out of the late 70's & early 80's. Being I had a couple of their albums on cassette, I had to get this knowing the best of the best were on them without having to buy all their albums on CD.
