Wow. This CD is fantastic. After hearing some buzz surrounding the band after SXSW, I listened to the songs on their Myspace page and went to see them live at Schuba's in Chicago. They were great live and I bought their CD immediately after the set.
I heard someone describe this band as Camera Obscura Jr. I don't think that is a put-down at all, I would say that is a compliment. People that are into the Merge Records indiepop sound would definitely like this. Elephant 6 fans might appreciate this although it is more conservative and less psych, which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Maybe it's like an American Francoise Hardy fronting the Left Banke? I am sure someone is going to say that is paying The Postmarks too much of a compliment but I definitely think its at least in the same ballpark. People need to check this band out! Good luck.
