I bought this (on vinyl!) when it came out, on the strength of 'Crash' which got a fair amount of airplay in LA at the time. I was a big fan of the noise-pop genre which came in the wake of the Jesus & Mary Chain and this is possibly the best of the genre. It's very energetic, melodic and tuneful, Tracy's voice is awesome, there's enough noise to satisfy but it's not difficult listening, each song is a utterly simple classic. Pop punk doesn't get much better than 'Stop Killing Me.' I have been playing this consistently for 17 years and probably eight songs are now iPod "five star". It tails off slightly near the end, but then 'Buzz Buzz Buzz' is fantastic. I don't review many albums, but this has been an essential album for me for a long time. It's a must have for fans of the J&MC, early Ramones or (say) the Raveonettes' Chain Gang of Love.
