Free Music Notes for Don't You Fake ItFree Music Review: Incredagood CD Hit: 5 StarsI got this CD right after seein RJA at Warped 06. They put on an awesome show and had addictive songs and awesome vocals. This is definatly worth owning for any fan of Screamo and even Emo even though i dont like to use the term emo. Its a great cd and has awesome lyrics with a great message behind them.
Free Music Review: I'm not Faking Hit: 5 StarsThis album is the best release of the summer, these 12 tracks will shake the foundations of everything you ever thought about music... with amazing vocals, and a mixture of screamo and metal, they're the perfect sound for todays music lover.
Free Music Review: great cd!!! Hit: 5 Starsthis cd is awesome. i like it a lot, because TRJA is a little bit of everything this cd goes to being pop-punky, to a harder screamo kind of. they sound kind of like throwing underoath (In Fate's Hands), Halifax (atrophy), and taking back sunday (guardian angel reminds me a lot of my blue heaven) in a pot and stirring it up, which in my opinion results in a very good band with a very good debut album. they've got great lyrics, not every song is about a break up, and great riffs to back them up. get this cd. just do it.
Free Music Review: THIS CD ROCKS! Hit: 5 Starsthis cd is definetly the best one ive heard out this year and i love this band if anyone hasnt seen them in concert yet well YOU SHOULD HAVE! if u get a chance they are awesome in conert and play one of the best shows ive seen so far. Back to the cd.....this cd has a bunch of great songs id say 2 of the best ones are "Face Down" and "Atrophy". But all in all the whole cd kicks butt.
Free Music Review: Far from brilliant, but enjoyable none the less Hit: 3 StarsThe Red Jumpsuit Apparatus pretty much came out of nowhere with their ultra catchy altpunk single "face down", a thrice-esque power track with a chorus to kill for. Although often compared to records by Hawthorne Heights and Taking Back Sunday, "Don't You Fake It" actually sounds more like a pop-punk version of Nural's "Weight Of The World".
Of the 12 songs featured here, 7 or 8 of them are single worthy and highly addictive. The last 2, which include "Your Guardian Angel" and "A Grim Goodbye" go prog-rock ala wilco for a fogettable +5/+7 minutes, and another 3 or so aren't even worth mention. If you're expecting a solid listen from beginning to end, you may want to look elsewhere.
For a major label debut, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' "Don't You Fake It" is somewhat mediocre. Once the glory of "face down" wears off, TRJA will most likely leave the scene just as quickly as they arrived.
