Free Music Notes for The Red Violin: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Free Music Review: Music to touch every emotion
Hit: 5 Stars

The Red Violin by John Corigliano is so breathtakingly beautiful. Anna's Theme manages to wind it's way throught the tracks as to tie them together and connect them. This is so hard to do without making it seem redundant and repiticous. John Corigliano's music is so emotional. In his music he pours out his heart and soul. Joshua Bell may very well be the greatest violinist of our time. The orchestra conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen is also excellent.

Free Music Review: Amazing and touching
Hit: 5 Stars

Out of sheer curiosity, I bought this CD soon after learning it existed. As a violist who enjoys classical music, I had been interested in Joshua Bell, but I had never heard him play, nor had I heard any of Corigilano's music. Nevertheless, "The Red Violin" amazed me from the start. Bell plays the eclectic, emotional music with great passion and sensitivity. As a result, the music is soothing, stirring, and simply inspiring to hear.

Free Music Review: Corigliano
Hit: 5 Stars

Corigliano did a superb job of correlating his music with the story on the screen in The Red Violin. As soon as I walked out of the movie, I knew I had to have the music. I have enjoyed owning it, and have noticed portions of it being used by skaters in recent competitions. This CD runs the gamut of music styles, with everything from cliff-hanger suspense to the children's voices in China. The violinist (Joshua Bell) is one of the great ones.

Free Music Review: Beautiful, haunting, moving
Hit: 5 Stars

I first heard this album at a writers' workshop. We wrote with it in the background all weekend. I knew I had to have Red Violin. It's one of the most beautiful CD's in my collection, and I listen to it often. Soon after I got the CD I saw the movie, which enhanced the meaning of the music. It's something I just love. When I saw the sound tracks up for Academy Awards, I couldn't believe it wasn't included.

Free Music Review: Powerful, beautiful, and haunting,
Hit: 5 Stars

There are soundtracks and then there are Soundtracks. There is music, and then there is Music. This cd falls in the latter category, it is a powerful, haunting, beautiful mixture. It evokes so many emotions.

I admit that I have not watched the movie, but I was blown away by the soundtrack. Great album. If you love classical/crossover music than this is a must have. I loved it! Highly recommended!
