Free Music Review: New Roches CD
Hit: 5 Stars

Amazing CD! The Roches have done it again! What a collection of terrific songs - not a dud in the bunch. Especially catchy are the Paranoid Larry songs "Jesus Shaves" and "No Shoes". Get the whole CD, though. It is definitely worth it!

Free Music Review: The Roches are back!
Hit: 5 Stars

This is an amazing effort from the Roches. Highlights include Jesus Shaves (not jesus saves as listed on the amazon track list) and No Shoes. This is intelligent, heartfelt music performed with technical virtuosity and love.

Free Music Review: Moonswept Album
Hit: 5 Stars

I purchased the album based on the song I wanted called "no shoes" so I knew I would not be disappointed. Most of the music on the album is above average, however the song "no shoes" is the best song I have heard written in a long time. A great song on a good album for music lovers.

Free Music Review: Amazing!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I just purchased this disc last week and I am so glad I did. It really is a great record. The singing, the arrangments, the harmonies, the humor, the pathos, the incredible timing......
I am completely enamored with it.
If you like The Roches, check out The Watson Twins. They are also sisters (identical twins) and their singing and harmonies are quite beautiful.

Free Music Review: Their Best Album in Years
Hit: 5 Stars

This is the purest-sounding Roches album since Nurds. Lots of great story-based songs recorded in simple, clean arrangements that allow the Roches voices to really shine through. And, some of the songs are among the best they've ever done: Jesus Shaves and No Shoes are my current favorites. Highly recommended on both aesthetic and techinical grounds! (Too bad this album wasn't released in SACD, which would sound even better.)
