This CD eliminates the need to go out and purchase all of the past Rocky releases. With this excellent compilation, you get two versions of the classic Rocky theme song, "Gonna Fly Now," in addition to an inspiring "Training Montage." There are two songs by Survivor, "Eye of the Tiger" from Rocky III and "Burning Heart" from Rocky IV. Also from Rocky IV is the James Brown's fun "Living in America," Robert Tepper's excellent but little-known "No Easy Way Out," John Cafferty's "Heart's On Fire," and "War" by Vince Di Cola (who also does "Training Montage"). A long time ago, when I was actively involved in actually working-out, I purchased this CD; I made the right choice. This CD is great for all of the Rocky fans out there. It contains the songs that remind us of the struggles the boxer went through, and it also can inspire the listener to push themselves a little harder each day - in whatever aspect of life they need to push.I think all of the songs are recorded quite well, and I don't think any Rocky (and music) fan should be without this CD. This soundtrack is great, contains 80's rock tunes from the Rocky movies (such as "Eye Of The Tiger"). James Brown will always be the King of Soul ("Living In America)".Vince DiCola's instrumentals from Rocky IV are heroic and great. And of course, this CD contains two renditions of Rocky's main theme: "Gonna Fly Now"*note: this CD was released before Rocky V, so it doesn't contain the rap song: "Go for it"
This Rocky Story CD just as Rocky himself personify what the American Dream is about.

THe rocky story is the best CD ever relased by anyone because it's the soundtrack to the saga of the 5 and Maybe 6 Rocky movies. Well, what can i say. This is the BEST movie soundtrack ever and i would very much reccomend it to anybody who is in to movies or fitness training. Everytime i hear hearts on fire or the training montage i cant help but find my heart start racing as i imagine rocky, paulie and duke training in the russian mountains. I always listen to this cd when i go training or running and it always makes me run that extra mile. As rocky says 'going the extra round can make all the difference in your life.' and this cd will get you there!! I LOVE IT!!!
