Free Music Notes for The Secret Garden: Original Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: Sarah Brightman or Linda Ronstadt? Hit: 4 Stars
The music is great. Enough other people have already said so, and I agree. However, several people are under the false impression that the version of "Winter Light" missing from this CD was recorded by Sarah Brightman. That's simply not the case. She recorded it for her "Classics" album, released in 2001 and she's NOT the person who sang the version you hear at the end of "The Secret Garden". Linda Ronstadt wrote the song (with Eric Kaz and Zbigniew Preisner), her recording of it was included with the credits at the end of "The Secret Garden", and can be found on her 1993 album, "Winter Light". Just thought y'all would like to know.
Free Music Review: Beautiful music, but missing something. . . Hit: 4 Stars
The music on this soundtrack is beautiful -- very soothing and relaxing. However, I was very dissappointed that the beautiful song at the very end was not included on the soundtrack. I had bought the CD especially because I thought that it would be on there (I didn't know the name of the song at the time.) I enjoyed the CD anyway, but I think that the producers really should have included that song along with the others. Other than that, I liked the music.
Free Music Review: Anyone know?? Hit: 4 Stars
I LOVE this album, however, like the other person, there are songs missing, and because theyre soooo hauntingly beautiful, I cant get them out of my mind! I saw this movie as a small child and STILL remember a certain song I cant identify. The scene is when Mary is just coming to the house, and she hears colin crying through the halls in the night... sounds like strings or something I dunnoo Please help!
Free Music Review: I found the song that plays during the credits! Woo hoo! Hit: 4 Stars
I noticed that many people were bummed out that this soundtrack did not include the really beautiful song that plays during the ending credits. Well I have done a little searching and have found the song title, "Winter Light". Sarah Brightman has a recording of it on her Classics album, and I think that Linda Ronstadt also has a version (but I'm not positive about that).
Free Music Review: my favorite soundtrack Hit: 4 Stars
The soundtrack to this movie is by far my favorite soundtrack to any movie ever. It is so far from what I usually listen to but there is something so peaceful and serene about the music. I absolutely love this CD and this movie. I am a little disappointed that "Winter Light" (the end credit song) is not on it but it is still a wonderful CD.
