I never knew Richard Chaimberlain could sing until I heard this thing! It is great! I absolutely love the "What a Comforting Thing to Know" song. It is very humorous. And anyone who doesn't love "Secret Kingdom," is your heart made of ice? Gemma Craven is great as Cinderella-I still don't see why we don't hear more of her music. Seriously, this is a wonderful album, and it was well worth the fifteen dollars I spent on it. I love it!Free Music Review: The Slipper and the Rose: A Lovely CD

If you like Cinderella stories, you'll love this CD. It's also out now on DVD. I have both of them. Richard Chamberlain sings wonderfully as Prince Edward and Gemma Craven is the sweetest Cinderella you've ever heard. The songs by the Sherman Brothers (Mary Poppins, Bedknobs and Broomsticks) are very tuneful and romantic with outstanding arrangements. After I few listens, you'll be singing them too! I have had this film on video for about as long as I can remember. I first saw it when I was eight years old and fell in love with the magic! I have lost count of the amount of times I've watched the film and have often wondered why the soundtrack was never released. What a great album. I purchased it having been a fan of the movie. Great songs. If you are a true fan of the movie then this soundtrack is worth every penny. However, if you are not and are just looking for something new to listen to, I wouldn't if I were you. Absolutely beautiful!!!! Its wonderful to just sit back and listen to the lyrics and appreciate them ... If you love this film as much as I do, every song carries many memories ... Its romantic and just lots of fun!!!!
