I`ll just say that i got the queen is dead, meat is murder and this one on tape in the nineties, and for me this is the best one.I don`t want to skip a single song of it when i put the cd in my stereo.For me this is the most complete, accesible subtle and beautiful smiths album.Morrissey and Marr agree too.They were two different geniuses on their own, but here they join efforts to make lyrics and music sound as a whole,sounding much more experimental than in their other releases and later imitated by many.Essential 80's album.Free Music Review: an understated masterpiece

This album rules. All of the Smiths' albums rock, but this one is special. In many ways, it can be considered their weakest or worst album, at first glance. But it grows on you. I hated it at frist, and then loved it most. "Death of a Disco Dancer" was one of those songs I hated at first, and now consider their most Radiohead-type song (i'm a huge radiohead fan). "Death at One's Elbow" is total rockabilly madness. I love this album; and the more i read about people hating this album, the more i love it!Free Music Review: The Smith's Last

Strangeways, Here We Come is the Smiths farewell album. It is to say the least, a graceful bow down. Although it does not equal the brilliance of The Queen Is Dead, it is just as good as any other Smiths album. A Rush And A Push, Girlfriend In A Coma, Unhappy Birthday, and I Won't Share You remain some of the best songs they have ever done. Yes, this is the best Smith's album to me. I think its the most emotional piece of work they released. Knowing what was riding on this album, and knowing what was going on while they made this album makes it much more clearer this is thier best album. Not a bad track on this. 'Strangeways' is perhaps the most comic of all the Smiths albums - with tracks like 'Girlfriend in a coma' and 'Unhappy birthday' it shows Morrissey's supreme talent in the art of wit. It also is one of their most 'produced' albums - it has more of a studio feel to it. It is not quite 'Meat is Murder' or the 'Queen is Dead' - but it is still a minor masterpiece, in my opinion.
