This album is something more than Klezmer music. Kroke are three musicians from Warsaw / Poland that combine a traditional emotion in their music with an intelligence and creativity that achieves something that is truly new. Kroke's music is not easy listening, yet there is a frictionless feeling that lets it slide away. This is music of dreams, old European Jewish dreams and new Global secular dreams. This city itself is a symbol of a disappearing world. Krakow's long history provides its lively cultural life with inspiration. Kroke is proof enough of the vitality, variety and ability to innovate what characterises Polish culture today.
