Along with The Temptations who they will be forever linked, the difference with The Stylistics was their soulful almost wailing harmonies. Everyone can pick a favourite song from this collection and think of someone special from the present of the past From " Break up to Make up, You Are Everything,You Make me Feel Brand New " or the almost nonsensical sounding title of "Betcha by Golly,Wow" there are memories that all can relate to growing up with a favourite girl or guy. Let me just get to the point. This album is excellent. Please go get NOW. The Stylistics are very smooth and romantic. This music really sets the mood.I like ALL the songs.
"You Are Everything" has been covered by many artists but only the Stylistics put that perfect touch on the record.
"People Make The World Go Round" is a great, mellow, thoughtful song that makes me appreciate even the that guy that cut me off this morning.
If you only get one Stylistics album, this is the one to get.

My daughter bought me this CD for Christmas, oh my God I can't believe how it brought me right back to the 70's. The Stylistics were great then and just as good today. I have to say I didn't know you could get old albums on CD but now that I do my daughter has created a monster. I just went through the listings and have over 100.00 dollars worth of CD's on my wish list. I might just have to get some doubles so I can have them for the car. Twenty-seven years after their first hits made the charts, a recent Stylistics concert I attended revealed an amazing fact: women scream when Russell Thompkins' still breathtaking falsetto cuts through the air! This collection contains all 5 of the Stylistics' gold records ...songs designed to showcase Thompkins' remarkable gift. Most of the other cuts are not as memorable, but who cares? I thought I only knew a couple of numbers by the Stylistics, but as I listened to the entire CD, I know them all and loved everyone of these songs. These guys are much better then I remember and deserve more air time and many more awards. This group now has risen to be in my top ten of all time favorite groups, and that is saying alot for someone now over 50 who grew up every night listening to Motown via KOMA from Oklahoma City.
