I never tire of the Sundays. I've listened to all 3 albums countless times and they still move me. Something about Harriet's voice... I just wish they were a bit more profilic. I would love to have seen them play but they never toured Australia to my knowledge.
People compare them to the Cranberries. I got sick of them years ago. The Sundays are far superior in every way imaginable.

I actually was at someone's house while they were listening to this CD and found the music absolutely a pleasure to listen to. I asked my friend what was playing and went out and bought the CD that day; after eight years, this is still one of my favorite CD's of all time (and I have a huge CD collection encompassing a very wide range of music). In fact, whenever I have it playing, other people always ask me about it and also find the music very enjoyable. I can't really put my finger on the defining characteristics of it that make the CD so addicting, I just recommend it to anyone who likes music that is slightly reminiscent of the 80s and that is both fun and somehow relaxing at the same time.Free Music Review: Listen To The Sundays!!!

Out of the years and years of music I've heard in my life, this sublime album has held up over time to be among the five or six CD's I've listened to the most and still listen to regularly. Classic pop melodies with beautiful accoustic and electric guitar work, combined with mostly optimistic lyrics and longing, soaring, sensual vocals. It's both immediately accessible and subtle enough to improve with repeated listenings, with hooks that don't tire and a voice that always draws me back. Love it. Free Music Review: A Modern Classic. I can't say enough good things about this album. I was a bit put off by the extremely pop nature of the first single, Summertime. I took a chance and bought the record anyway and I'm so glad I did. Nearly every song on the record will get under your skin and they're all so gorgeous. I am fascinated by the concept of perfection in pop music and this album is THE epitome. The songwriting, the production and performance are all flawless. Static and Silence is so brilliant it virtually glows. If you could open a window to heaven I am certain this is what you would hear.
