Free Music Review: Still a favorite

I, too, was taken by the jangly, Bangles-like sound of this band - and especially the lead vocalist who just happens to sound a lot like the Bangles' Susanna Hoffs. Grab this CD before it becomes impossible to find. I kept checking the official web site for news about the second album (the web site STILL says they haven't broken up, and the album is coming ... so much for timeliness). If, like me, you're starving for more, the following tidbit might be of interest. The lead vocalist, Laila Samuelsen (often trimmed to Samuels for the West) has had moderate success as a songwriter and backup vocalist, but at least a couple of times she has tried to make it as a solo artist. The last such effort was in 2005 with a promotional single called "I Guess U Guessed". It's more "adult contemporary" in style than the Tuesdays were, but VERY listenable; and any fan of the Tuesdays will recognize the voice instantly.
