... Picks up right where Urban Hymns leaves off. Nothing as catchy as Bittersweet Symphony or the Drugs Don't Work; but it has definitely grown on me. The Verve always had a very "rock classicist" approach to songwriting and performance, Forth is no different in that regard. I doubt many new fans will be made through listening to the album; but fans (such as myself) should appreciate this effort. Let's hope the band continues on.Free Music Review: They haven't lost their edge!

They certainly haven't lost their edge despite the long gap and continued breaking up and rejoining. I can't say there are so many stand out, wow, songs as say Bittersweet Symphony, but altogether another great album and a great joy that they are still at it!!
A credit to the North West of England (must be all that coherence down the road in Skelmersdale???)!!

Though ecstatic upon the reformation of The Verve, I must say I am slightly disappointed at the permeation of the commercial sound Richard Ashcroft adopted while he was on his own.
All in all the album is a pleasant and slightly melancholic escape.

I have listened to this CD 4 times now, and I love it. It's the verve, you know what to expect when you buy this. No it isn't Urban Hymns or as good as their 1st 2, but it's a return to form and a new beginning, and that puts a chesire grin on my face.Free Music Review: I was hoping for more upbeatness

I like this album despite it being slow and trodding in the middle. Love Is Noise is an amazing song, of course, but half of these 10 songs are pretty flat and can't be called knockouts. A mixed effort, but better than nothing after 11 years!
