Free Music Notes for The Wanderers: Original Motion Picture SoundtrackFree Music Review: "greasey kids stuff tunes for greasey people" Hit: 5 Stars
the soundtrack to "the wanderers",is an excellent example of late 50's/early 60's rockin' pop'n'roll, from the classics by dion[not dion & the belmonts],the four seasons, the shirelles, the angels, lee dorsey, ben.e king, the isley brothers and the contours on the actual soundtrack that was issued,to the other artists that also had songs played in the actual movie. such as,'the chantays',"pipeline",'the surfaris',"wipe out",'smokey robinson & the miracles',"you've really got a hold on me",'the champs',"tequila",'the volumes',"i love you",not to mention the cut by chet baker and placido domingo's,"granada",and 'bob dylan's',"the times they are a changin",they all added to the amazing, beautiful yet gritty ambiance that shrouded 'the wanderers' in its wonder. i went right out and bought this soundtrack the very next day on vinyl for $5.98 on sale at musicland at my local mall after seeing this movie in 1979 and i blasted it on my hi-fi system all summer long. long live 'the wanderers','the fordham baldies','the wongs' and 'the del bombers',but piss on the petulent 'ducky boys'.
Free Music Review: a great soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
what a great soundtrack was put together for this movie! shout, the only song in the bunch that eventually was overused in movies, is perfect here, and in fact, all of the songs bring a humor to the film that really would not be there without tem. It's a fun collection of songs, but made funnier it you have seen the movie. I would prefer different cover art.

Free Music Review: The Wanderers soundtrack Hit: 5 Stars
The soundtrack to the 1980 film "The Wanderers" is an excellent compilation of songs by various artists, circa 1963. Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons perform several of the tracks, and there is also a good variety of songs that evoke that era to wonderful effect. This is a good "sampler" of songs for those who like the sound of the early 1960s.
