Free Music Notes for Theory of a DeadmanFree Music Review: Better then Nickelback Hit: 5 StarsI remember the first time I heard Theory of a Deadman. At first, I thought it was Nickelback but it had a different sound to it. It wasn't Chad Kroeger, but I liked it alot. I got the album when it came out and I absolutly fell in love with this music. The songs just never get boring and I have probably have listened to the album a million times. I can say one thing, that I'm right pumped for Gasoline to come out. I'll be the first in line to pick up another great piece of work. Great Job, Theory of a Deadman!!!
Free Music Review: This is simply (as I put it) bare-bone flat Nickelback clone Hit: 1 StarsThey're worst off than Default and shame on Nickelback for a lackluster release. 'eesh. Better stick with Default's releases and 'back's releases (both classically) for my sake or anyone's sake. Talent's there but where's originality? Pass.
Free Music Review: Nickelback clones Hit: 2 Starsi'm sorry. its obvious that these guys have a lot of talent. BUT, their songs make them sound like Nickelback clones. That is actually what I call them, cuz i can never remember their name. anyway. they are good. but they need to find their own direction.
Free Music Review: Suprisingly Great Hit: 5 StarsAs probably everybody has heard by now, this is the newest band on Nickelback singer Chad Kroeger's new label. Don't let that mislead you though, these guys are not just another Nickelback. Unlike Fred Durst, who signed the grunge-era rip-off band Puddle of Mudd, Mr. Kroeger actually did a decent job here of picking these guys. This Vancouver-based group have really got something good here. In short, the album kicks-ass. Although this CD is shorter than I typically would like to see (running only 37 minutes) it is packed with great riffs, catchy tunes, and unique talented vocals. And as with any band that I really enjoy, there's a solid performance from the rhythm section. Hell, without a good rhythm section, even the most melodic guitaris is doomed, but not to worry, this band has both. From strong catchy tunes like "Nothing Can Come Between Us" to the hilarious rants of "Confession", this is one of the best albums I've heard in a while, and well worth it's purchase price.
Free Music Review: Maximum power Hit: 5 StarsI played that CD at least 300 times since I have it. I thought that Nickelback was a pretty good band... it is. But Theory's music is so much more brillant. It's not just noise, it's a brillant arrangement of powerful rhythms that will supercharge yourself.I bought 3 CDs. I kept one and gave the 2 others to best friends for their birthday. Theory is the future. We'll hear about them.
