Free Music Review: Obra Maestra del Rock
Hit: 5 Stars

Free Music Review: I AM AN IRISH WARRIOR!!!!! ...10 stars not possible
Hit: 5 Stars

arguable BEST ROCK ALBUM OF ALL TIME!!! This is my favorite rock-n-roll album. Powerfully intense tracks like "Warriors," "Cowboy Song," "Emerald," and "Jailbreak" make this album an absolute knock-out. Every song moves and puts chills up the spine, including the softer love-songs. This album has passionate composition, vocals, and signature dueling electric-guitar harmonies (which influenced so many other bands).
I have listened to this album several times a year for fourteen years now (since I was 13.see Cowboy Song). Henry Rollins also said this is one of his favorite albums. It has such a Southern feel to it. This album did so much to influence duelling-guitar heavy-metal bands. Reinforcing the soulfulness of the album is the fact that Thin Lizzy were from Dublin, Ireland. In fact, "Emerald" is a parable about the military conquests for Ireland by the English and the Saxons. Erin Go' Bragh!

Free Music Review: If you like THIN LIZZY this is the album for you......
Hit: 5 Stars

I have just recently gotten into Thin Lizzy. A good friend of mine got me into them by playing this album, "Jailbreak", cover to cover. I was in awe by this band! "The Boys Are Back in Town" and "Cowboy Song" I had heard before - that was the end of my Thin Lizzy knowledge. But this album is classic all the way through! It has soulful grooves like "Romeo and the Lonely Girl" and "Fight or Fall", as well as some heavy rockers like "Emerald", "Warriors" and the title track, "Jailbreak". And the band never loses this "feel" that they have. The music is always tight and right in the pocket. This is the Thin Lizzy album to begin with. If you're like me, you'll want more after hearing this one. Break out!

Free Music Review: Can't Go Wrong With Dueling Guitars
Hit: 5 Stars

Many of the albums that I listened to in the 70's sound kind of stale to me today. But not Thin Lizzy's Jailbreak. These songs have great melodies, strong lyrics, and guitars that will chill you to the bone.

"Romeo And The Lonely Girl" has a mellow beginning, but is soon taken over by a clear, hard driving guitar solo that becomes the song's signature. The "Cowboy Song" (one of my top 10 all time favorites) is a combination of Thin Lizzy's heavy layered guitars and a catchy melody that I will never grow tired of. Fantastic! And I've found myself playing dueling air guitars while listening to "Emerald" for the last 25+ years!

Nothing before or after has ever sounded like Jailbreak. It still packs a punch in the 21st century.

Free Music Review: It's really great
Hit: 5 Stars

I really love Thin Lizzy, but I'm not that dogmatic! I have no problem admitting that the early releases sure were uneven and sometimes horrible. But "Jailbreak" is a real masterpiece, including their biggest hit ever - "The boys are back in town". On this release, Lynott and the boys deliver songs of such high quality it's hard to find an overall better album. The material doesn't blend together since every single song has its unique character. Just listen to the amazing melodic "Running back", "Angel from the coast", and "Romeo and the lonely girl". The harder "Jailbreak", "Warrior", and "Emerald". And don't forget the beautiful "Cowboy song".

It's a mystery to me how Thin Lizzy have been over looked. They are clearly one of the best rock bands in history.
