Free Music Review: One of the most distinctive voices in rock history

For reasons that I've never fathomed Thin Lizzy didn't click with American audiences as they did else ware. Recently, Live and Dangerous was chosen in a popular UK music magazine as the top live album of all time by both critics and the public. For almost thirty years Jailbreak has flown under the radar notwithstanding the incessant play that The Boys... gets on classic rock radio. Anyway, this recording stands the test of time. Terrific guitars and percussion are accompanied by one of the truly memorable voices in the history of rock and roll. Phil Lynott `s unaffected yet deeply melancholy voice elevates each and every song.Free Music Review: What a great band and great album

Thin lizzy is a great band i love their melodic guitar playing they know how to make the guitar rock i love every song on this album i suggest this album to anybody that likes to rock and roll baby my favorite song on the album is cowboy song the guitar playing could make you cry thats how much that song effects me its that great the two guitar solos on that song are in my top 5 greatest solos of all time these guitar players are to me legends as well and very underated and should be up there with the greats to everybody that hasnt heard this album buy it now it will rock your brains out dont pass up this classic

This album's greatness makes me realize that Thin Lizzy never really got its due, or at least it sure doesn't get it now. Everybody knows (and overplays) The Boys are Back in Town, but the title track is even better, in my opinion. The carefree, rebellious attitude is what rock is all about, and the simple lyrics help get that across. Also, the eruption of rock on The Cowboy Song makes it my second favorite on the album. If you're looking for another classic rock album to add to your collection, this one is a good choice.Free Music Review: jailbreakthrough

I know we all know, Zeppelin ,sabbath, Deep purple, but what about Thin Lizzy.
If "Fighting" made Lizzy sound like a real great hard rock band, "Jaikbreak" had made them eternal.
Perfectly mixing melodic riffs with heavy tones, Jailbreak is outstanding.
Like all the albuns from this era, the most distinctable thing are the guitar duets between Gorham and Robertson (don't ask me which one is better)

Well what can I say. This album is fantastic from start to finish. I initially found Thin Lizzy like alot of other douches, The Boys Are Back in Town. For a long time I had The Boys on my ipod, then I got curious and checked out the rest of the disc, and boy was I amazed. Definitely worth the purchase, and if you can, get the deluxe edition. Don't stop at Jailbreak, the rest of the bands discography is magnificent. Just got my copy of Thunder And Lightning imported from the UK today :)
