"Jailbreak" is one of Thin Lizzy's best albums, and not just because it contains the overplayed (but still great-sounding) hit "The Boys Are Back In Town". "Romeo and the Lonely Girl", "Running Back", and "Cowboy Song" are all great tunes, as well. Powered by Phil Lynott's teenage angst lyrics and a double lead guitar attack, this disc rips from beginning to end. Buy this. its sweet. the best songs are boys r back in town and jailbreak. also to that idiot that said thin lizzy copies the darkness, guess what, thin lizzy came way before the darkness and the darkness is just a loser with a high voice who cant play anything on his guitar but solos and he copies AC/DC and Queen. This is one of my favorite albums. Not because of "The Boys are Back in Town" or "The Cowboy Song" which are fine tunes but for the the cohesiveness of the entire album. Songs flow together well and Gorham & Robertson guitar playing is the finest example of harmony playing around. Please note, this is not the best effort by Thin Lizzy - for that listen to the 1979 release "Black Rose".Free Music Review: One of the best rock guitar albums ever.

Thin Lizzy's High point. Jailbreak is a great hard rock album filled with heavy choards and great guitar solos. The best known song is "The Boys are Back in Town", but many other songs make this their best album. "Cowboy Song" rips in a country metal style, "Warriors" and "Emerald" take on a hard rock rendition of war with screming guitar solos, while "Fight or Fall" shows the band's blues style. Hardcore fans of any band will usually play favorites with a band's less famous albums, and they've often right to do so. But, there's a reason why Jailbreak is the most famous offering from Thin Lizzy. Now, granted, if you think only of "The Boys Are Back in Town," when you hear of Lizzy, then you're probably not a serious fan. But there's not a weak track on this album. Front to back, it's stellar!
