Free Music Notes for Johnny the FoxFree Music Review: How Did I Miss This Hit: 4 Stars
How did i miss this one Thin Lizzy's Strongest albums were Fighting and Jailbreak both albums are back to back in Thin Lizzy's discography. They also how some other great tracks from their other albums after listening to this album one more time i realized they have three great albums in a row and this one comes right after Jailbreak. There are some good songs on this album my favs are Johnny, Fools Gold
and Borderline the other songs are good as well but the three strongest are the three i mentioned pick this cd up if you are a Thin Lizzy fan you wont regret it.
Free Music Review: Solid Lizzy cd Hit: 4 Stars
Well, this is solid cd, not quite great, however. The teo tracks I like best are sweet marie and old flame..sweet marie kind of a ballad type thing. One thing here is johnny the fox meets jimmy the weed isn't nearly as good as it is on live and dangerous. Johnny is solid straight foward rock song..boderline is sort lyndnard skynardish..the whole cd is good especially sweet marie and old flame and they aren't even on any of the best of collections..Don't believe a word is , however
Free Music Review: Just love this band Hit: 4 Stars
I just love this band. Lynott's melodic and sensible vocals, the incredibly duo of guitarists Robertson and Gorham, the efficient and imaginative drumming of Downey.Johnny The Fox is one of their best albums. It flows effortlessly.
Free Music Review: Definitely a necessary buy for the serious music collector!! Hit: 4 Stars
I bought this album yrs ago and have been trying to find it on cd for awhile - here it is!!!! One of Thin Lizzy's best! A real sleeper - should have gotten more notice. "Johnny The Fox" is tight, seriously rocks!!!!!!
Free Music Review: Solid but Not Great Effort by Lizzy Hit: 3 Stars
This release represented the last Lizzy album featuring major contributions from guitarist Brian Robertson, who was openly feuding with Phil Lynott about the direction of the band's music. That said, they put together some memorable material. Johnny, Rocky, Borderline and Don't Believe a Word all rank among the band's best. The remainder, however, is uneven and there is too much filler for this to be considered a superior release. For my money, Jailbreak and Live and Dangerous are their two finest works. Estaban
