Free Music Notes for Third Eye BlindFree Music Review: one of the finest albums of all time Hit: 5 Stars
there is something magical about Third Eye Blind, regardless of what most of their songs are referring to, they seep into your psyche and sit there awhile, just playing with your senses. 5 or ten years after the fact, I can still be driving on I-95, heading towards BeanTown at 8am with bumper to bumper traffic, and close my eyes and belt out "God Of Wine" or "Motorcycle Drive By" and I feel alive. I feel this album was made for me, and I feel infinite. I am glad that my favorite, most poetic songs from this album, hardly, if ever got radio play. It would have, in this reviewers opinion, taken the purity and eloquence away from the magic of what those songs are about if it were layed out to the masses and critics at that pathetic, sophmoric Spin magazine.
'The Background' is one of my favorite songs of all time, and 'God of Wine' is a song that should be legendary, like Hotel California. I am just so sorry I missed them on both their shows in this area. I have waited so long to see them live.
Arguably, Third Eye Blind's debut self-titled album, can be layed on pace with Radiohead's "Ok Computer" and The Beatles "The White Album" as some of the finest music to grace our ears. I thank them.
One of my favorite musical experiences of my life; sheer brilliant.

Free Music Review: Best Album Ever? Hit: 5 Stars
I remember the first time i heard of 3eb(Third Eye Blind). I was driving in my car listening to the radio and this song comes on called semi-charmed life. It was a fun song and i loved it immediatly. The next day i drove to the music store and bought the cd. Most people who buy a new cd skip to the tracks they've heard before. Not me. I listen to a new cd from begining to end. If only somone took a picture of my face. Not only did the songs have great rythm but deep meaningful words too. One song makes u feel like dancing like "Semi-Charmed Life", then the next just takes u away to another world "God of Wine". Then they bust out with harder songs like "London". I am not jus some guy who likes one and ONLY one genra, I like everything from rap to metal. But this album and this band jus grabs me and doesnt let me go 'till the cd finishes. I don't care what music you like, or if you don't like the songs by 3eb they play on the radio. The rest of the cd owns. My personal fav's don't even include popular ones. If you're still not sure d/l these songs and i promise you will change your mind. "God of Wine", "Narcolepsy", "Losing a whole Year", "The Backround". I have never liked any band as much as i like 3eb. Give them a try, you wont regret it.

This is arguably the best album ever. From start to finish, Third Eye Blind's first self-titled album is an absolute musical masterpiece. Stephen Jenkins' lyrical style is unique and intriguing, producing lyrical gems such as "Semi-Charmed Life." Jenkins' vocal range and incredible ability to inflict extreme emotion into his lyrics makes for one of the best voices in music.
On each track, Jenkins' and Tony Fredianelli's guitars work together providing perfect harmonious melodies with impeccable tone. Third Eye Blind mixes acoustic melody so emotional it could make you cry with such gut-wrenching hard rock that it invokes desire to smash whatever is in front of you.
Everything comes together so perfectly with this band as a result of their extemely hard working dedication to musical perfection. Stephan and Tony's guitars provide flawless melody that flows like water while Arion Salazar's bass gives substance to the melody. Brad Hargreaves energetic and powerful drums lay the foundation for their sound.
Since its release in 1997, no other album has come close to capturing the same power and emotion that Third Eye Blind achieves in their debut album.
Third Eye Blind is a MUST-HAVE album for anyone who apreciates music in any way.
Free Music Review: Excellent Album Hit: 5 Stars
I want to get one thing straight. These guys are not just another pop/rock band. The worst thing about these guys is their image. I have the feeling a lot of critics and music snobs don't listen to this album with an open mind because they figure it's just another album from just another pop/rock band with just another catchy single. I can understand, though with all of the crappy music record labels have been giving us for the past five years. Just listen.Jenkins is the great lyricist, probably the best out there right now (mainstream OR underground). If you're reading these reviews and you run across some review "Worst album ever" or something, remember that chances are these people are probably just music snobs who hate mainstream for some stupid reason (either that or they only like hit singles). And the only reason I gave it four stars is because some of the catchier songs lose their shine after a while, not a big deal. Give this album a chance. It's a very hard thing to put down in words. And, for the snobs, if it helps you listen to it, 3eb are very heavily influenced by punk and alt. rock. Jenkins often makes references to VU, Lou Reed, Camper van Beethoven, and lot of other bands. They even did a cover of one of The Clash's songs from London Calling.
Free Music Review: Unbelievable Hit: 5 Stars
Every once in a while I update my ranking of the top 40 albums of all time. On my latest list, the top 10 were filled with Zeppelin, Skynyrd, and The Who classics, to name a few, with #1 being Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy. But a few spots out of the top 10, at #13, lies Third Eye Blind. I gave this album the honor of the best non-classic rock album ever made. And it deserves it. The CD flows through like something from Floyd, and climax's with one of my favorite songs of all time, "God of Wine", a song that was never released as a single, but is still an all time favorite of any 3eb fan. The thing that makes this album so amazing is that the tracks at the end of the CD, that were not released as singles, are "better" than the singles. And that's tough to do. 3eb released some of the greatest singles ever, with "Semi-charmed Life," "Graduate" and "How's it Gonna Be". But songs like "Good For You" and "The Background" blow their hits away. "The Background" has some of the most meaningful lyrics ever written. Steven Jenkins is a musical genius. Anyone who's not a death metal freak will like this album. If you don't have it you should. Simple as that.
