Curiousity begat another fan for the talent, intellect, and sense of humor shown in this group! I listen to it repeatedly and am not only entertained for the enjoyment of music, but am challenged to ponder over the stories being told. The crescendo in "Things have got to change" is wonderful. I love the sassy sound in "Somebody Else's Princess", which makes me smile every time I hear it. A person cannot stay in a bad mood while listening to "Swept Away Bayou", especially the end of it when the music just carries you away. Give it a try, you will be impressed as this 56 year old grandmother is.Free Music Review: A great listen for REAL!

I bought my BLOC CD at an auction this past summer in Austin... I had listened to the CD many times but hadn't been able to buy it, so I felt really good about contributing to a great cause and indulging myself.Tofog rocks! The lyrics are beautiful and meaningful. I never tire of listening to this CD.
I saw TOFOG live in Austin on the 11th and I'm looking forward to attending another concert at Stubbs next year. For now I'll continue playing my BLOC CD and trying to load it on my PC realjukebox

If you love Crowe the actor then you'll really get into this CD which showcases yet another talented side to this incredible guy. While Hold You and Wendy are a tad sappy(sorry Russell) he (and the band) totally rocks out on songs like Somebody Else's Princess and Swept Away Bayou. Things Have Got To Change and Sail Those Same Oceans is another 5 star fave. This CD has lots of flavor and honestly takes you for a really good ride. If you don't like it - I'll buy it from you because I'm sure I'll wear mine out!!!Free Music Review: Surpisingly Good!

As others have implied in other reviews, it's true, we wouldn't know about this band had it not been for Russell Crowe. That being true, it does not take away from the credibility of the band itself, they make excellent music and put on a great live show.
My favourite tracks are "Things Have Got to Change" -- this has a really good horn solo on it, "Sail Those Same Oceans" which has a great theme (also a great video), "Somebody Else's Princess" very upbeat, & "Wendy".

I originally purchased this CD because I happen to LOVE anything about Russell Crowe. When I listened to the first few songs, I realized that he is truly an amazing man, with 10,000 different facets to his personality. On top of everything else, he has an amazing voice, and the rest of TOFOG are just as good! You won't regret buying this CD, and I hope another comes out soon....P.S. Whoever lands this man is going to be very lucky...Good luck Russell..
