As the wife of a musician, I hear my share of new, strange, and different music, but TOFOG simply blew me away! The blend of musical styles defies a neat fit into any known category. The lead vocals are surprisingly good, and the lyrics are creative in a great old-fashioned folk-song/cowboy/story ballad kind of way. I have come to the movies of Russell Crowe by way of his voice and amazing songwriting ability, instead of the other way around!Free Music Review: TOFOG or Bust

This band is more than just Russell Crowe. All the musicians in TOFOG have a lot of talent. I had the privilege of seeing them live in Austin on Aug 18th. The guys have great stage presence and a wonderful connection to the audience. Yes, if you like straight forward music, this would be a CD to add to your collection. I thoroughly enjoy this CD. I've been a fan of TOFOG for a little over a year and would recommend it to everyone. It has a wonderful mixture of songs, from rock n roll to blues. The songs are infectious! Russell Crowe's vocals are deep, mellow and wonderful. Dean Cochran's guitar playing is exceptional! The whole band works together like a well tuned engine. This is the first album of Russell Crowe I have ever bought and it is very very good. The music is very plesant, easy to listen to and well done. This album is not just for Russell's fans as the music is excellent, but in case if you are looking for his performance, he is signing most of the songs. After listening to this CD I found that many of the songs address issues that I am trying to deal with in my life. The songs all have a good beat and for an actor Russell Crowe does a heck of job as lead singer. He has one of those voices that just make you feel the song. Currently this is my favorite CD to listen to while driving. Good job guys and keep up the good work.
