Free Music Notes for Bastard Life or ClarityFree Music Review: A Good Change of Pace Hit: 4 Stars
This CD is certainly a little different from what most people usually hear and it's a nice change. It has many interesting melodies and I especially like "Swept Away By You." Russell has a calming, soulfull voice that allows me to kick back and relax. The music is growing on me. However, it's not one of my favorite buys. I love ya Russ, but don't quite your day job!
Free Music Review: Worth a listen for the Lyrics Hit: 4 Stars
No, Russell does not have the best singing voice on the planet, but the songwriting team of Dean Cochrane and Russell Crowe is what pulls this album together. The lyrics are wonderful and most of the songs are well-constructed. Let's put it this way - it's better than his latest album, Other Ways of Speaking!!! Give it a listen. The band is good in concert.
Free Music Review: Russell Crowe the singer? Hit: 4 Stars
The first time I listed to this Cd, wasn't quite sure if I was going to like it, but the more I listed the more I liked it..The songs, sound from the heart...and I particularly like the use of the horns. Russell sounds good, like his voice, I guess He really can do it all....
Free Music Review: A Solid Effort Hit: 4 Stars
I wasn't sure what to expect from Crowe as a singer, but was pleasantly surprised. I found myself enjoying most of the tracks, specifically "Things Have Got to Change" and "Sail Those Same Oceans." Definitely worth a look.
Free Music Review: Music for Grownups Hit: 4 Stars
I really liked this CD. I had gotten a demo of "Sail These Same Oceans" and had to get the CD after hearing it. It's nice to have music that adults can enjoy. I love his voice and am a big fan of his movies.
