This album is simply awesome in and by design. It combines post rock with delicate atmospheric elements that create a broader sound than any other post rock bands that I have heard thus far.
I've listened to this genre for as long as I can remember and although it is comparable to Explosions in the Sky, Mono, Mogwai etc, I can easily say that it stands alone against them and holds its own. They have created their own unique blend of sound that illuminates the air.
This type of music isnt for everyone, granted everyone sails their own ship, but if ever there were a ship to be sailed along a crestline sea that goes from blue to green then this is the album I would be playing.
