Free Music Notes for Thoroughly Modern Millie (2002 Original Broadway Cast)

Free Music Review: GREAT CD!!! Sutton Foster is the tops!
Hit: 5 Stars

I got my CD a day early...THANK YOU SO MUCH AMAZON.COM!!!! I had previously received the pre-broadway CD (with the title number, Forget about the Boy & Jimmy). I listened to it constantly!

I would like to say that Sutton Fosters sounds like she has gotten so use to the role. Of course she has...I mean, the girl has been playing the role for over 2 years now...maybe even longer. But she really sounds settled and AMAZING!

There are some really great numbers in this show. I admit that I have not seen the show live, but the music just brings the show to life in my CD player. It is truly amazing!

BUY IT! BUY IT! BUT IT!

Free Music Review: Thoroughly Modern Millie is spectacular!
Hit: 5 Stars

Sutton Foster is new to the world of Broadway, but she handles it like a pro. Her voice, attitude, and personality make the part of Millie shine! The Tony Award for Best Actress, awarded to Ms. Foster, was well deserved. Her clear, crisp, and clean notes make the show more fun to watch and listen to. She is amazing. The supporting cast for the show shined aswell. Its a great ensemble show, and the ensemble in this production live up to that. The show itself is a blast and privelege to listen to, i THOROUGHLY recommend it. Sutton Foster's voice is worth the money for the CD itself.

Free Music Review: Saw the Show last week...loved it!
Hit: 5 Stars

I went to NY on a tour last week and we were scheduled to see this show. I wasn't too excited about it since I did not like the movie. Boy was I surprised! The show was wonderful! The high school kids I was with (as chaperone) loved it even more than Chicago! which they had seen the night before. The music is great. The theater is great. It is worth every dime and every minute! The show on Broadway had Susan Egan and Leslie Uggams in it...and they were wonderful! Excellent! (Dixie Carter wasn't on stage that night.) I had a great time and wouldn't hesitate to see it again.

Free Music Review: Great CD Less Than Great Show
Hit: 5 Stars

The Producers of this CD were wise not to incorporate to much of the weak plot line of the show. This CD is an excellent example of what ideal musical comedies should sound like. Fun, Upbeat and strong vocally. Highlights are "The Speed Test" and "Muqin" The actors are all very strong singers except for Harriet Harris who won the Tony Award for Best Supporting Actress but gives a delightful stage performance. Her singing is below par however. I would have liked to see more songs with the Ensemble but this is largely a leading character show.

Free Music Review: Sutton Foster Is The Best
Hit: 5 Stars

Sutton Foster is a gift to all of us. Watch how she commits herself to everything she does. She doesn't SING a song, she LIVES it.

She has inspired many people to sing with their full energy. Her Millie is tops.

We were thrilled to record Gimme Gimme for the new CD: Liz Seymour - That Thing Called Love. If it hadn't been for Sutton's inspiration, this recording never would have happened.

Buy everything she does - she's that good!
